Hänel News 07/2008: Overwhelming success at the CeMAT 2008
Hänel AutoIdent®
The intelligent Hänel Lean-Lift®
AutoIdent® improves the efficiency of your storeroom thanks to automatic identification of items and storage locations by RFID and camera.
Hänel was the first manufacturer in Germany to offer the option of fitting its vertical lift modules with digital camera technology. This is the basis for the new Hänel AutoIdent® feature.
At the CeMAT trade fair in Hannover, Hänel gave visitors an insight into the future with a study of the new Hänel Lean-Lift® AutoIdent® concept. Using a camera built into the access point, the intelligent image recognition function locates the storage space that is occupied or vacated, and this is then booked automatically.
An RFID scanner integrated in the access point of the vertical lift module ensures contact-free identification of the articles based on the RFID tags attached to them. All storage and retrieval operations are recognized automatically and booked in or out by the HänelSoft® storage management software.
In the inventory overview provided by HänelSoft®, changes to the store are booked immediately and automatically without delay – and without the user having to make any additional entries.
